Ref noRed Label Plans
TitleRed Label Plans
DescriptionDuring reconstruction after World War II, Bristol City Council operated three different series of plans for its own developments: Red label plans for housing, Yellow label plans for civic buildings, and Green label plans for educational establishments. The typed lists for all of these are available to view upon request in the public searchroom. The entries for the Green Label Plans have not yet been added to our cataloguing database.

Although the roll numbers only go up to 480, there are in fact around 1030 rolls in total. Each roll contains anywhere between 15 and 60 actual plans.

Please note that the listings are only at roll level, i.e. they state where/what the plans in that roll relate to [as item level entries]. Selected rolls were digitised at the request of another council department in 2014 and these plans have been listed individually [as piece level entries] and the scans added to the museum's EMu cataloguing database for staff access.
