TitleRecords of the Anglican parish of St Alban, Westbury Park
Date1828 - 2008
Administrative historyThe first church, St. Alban's Mission Church (now the parish hall) was dedicated by the Bishop on St. Alban's Day (June 22) 1892. The Revd. John Colmer Godwin was appointed Curate-in-charge. The Mission Church proved to be inadequate for the needs of the growing population, and a new church was begun in 1904, and consecrated in 1913, when the new parish was formed out of Westbury on Trym. The consecration of the Chancel, and Chapel of St.Oswald, followed in 1915.
